Every day I get up and go to work and think about how to market places. I used to market Uptown Charlotte NC, but now my days are spent marketing properties in the most beautiful place in the world, Missoula Montana.
I have a varied background. I got my start in design, creating trade show exhibits and packaging for automotive chemicals. I made the transition to real estate, providing market analysis for residential developers. Economic development was my next stop where I provided research based marketing for a downtown organization. Out goal was to sell developers on our place. We did might well…. on my watch we had a record era of development, even as we dodged a recession, riots and distasteful legislation that led to a boycott.
I slowly came to realize that while Charlotte NC was an amazing place, with too many attributes to begin to list here, I realized that what it lacked was what I wanted, which was space and access to wild places. Montana fit that bill. I landed in Missoula, at a commercial real estate firm. The firm I work for is full of smart people who understand the importance of marketing. I wear a couple of hats- designer, content producer and most recently film editor.
When I’m not marketing, I’m exploring the wild places with my two dogs, Sven and Odin and my horse Niki.
